My journey is ending...

Dear readers,

Time is flying! My journey is unfortunately almost over. I really have mixed feelings about going back home, but I am excited to start my new job in Amsterdam in Februari! I am also really excited to see my friends and family again. It will be really hard to miss Aidan, but I am positive we will make it work no matter what. I am also going to miss my two beautiful host kids, Rylan and Quinn. Quinn just turned 2 years old and she also acts like a 2 year old girl. She is starting to say 'no'  to everything and can speak in full sentences. This makes her sometimes the funniest kid ever! Rylan is most of the times very sweet for her younger sister, and she loves to cuddle with her. I hope I can FaceTime a lot with the family when I go back to Netherlands, because they now have a special place in my heart ;).

During these past months a lot has happened. I had to say bye to some of my good au pair friends here, I met new au pair friends and did a lot of really cool stuff. In september, I went with Aidan to Las Vegas to meet with Ilvana and Siplo. Ilvana is one of my best friends from Netherlands, so I was really happy to see her again after 1,5 years! Of course we went to the casino's and to nice parties in Las Vegas, because that is where this city is for. Me and Aidan stayed in the Paris Hotel, which is a beautiful luxurious hotel in a super fake French style. Unfortunately after Las Vegas I was totally broke (of course), so I haven't been on other big trips since september. I mostly went to Aidan every weekend and explored LA. I really love Los Angeles now I have explored the city a bit more (also I love LA because Aidan lives there of course ;)) Some of my favourite places in the city are The Getty, The Griffith Observatory, Beverly Hills neighbourhoods (because I love to drive around to spot big, beautiful villas), and the hiking trails around the Hollywood sign. It is fun I now can guide my friends and family around in New York City as well as in Los Angeles! I don't know which city I will choose if someone asks me which city I prefer. I really miss New York with her amazing skyscrapers, but it is really cold in the winters there. Los Angeles has an amazing climate and is beautiful, but the city is very spread out. I am really happy though I have had the change to live close to these two cities for a while.

Right now I am just too tired (I had a lazy but tiring weekend and it is monday...) to write a longer story, so this is my end for now.
