First week in Laguna Beach, Californiaaa!!

Hi everyone, 

I am finally in California, jippie! I am starting with writing my stories in English, so more people can read it ;)

So... I am now living in Laguna Beach, California since last Sunday. The weather is way way way better than in Connecticut and New York (and as Netherlands of course). Right now it is 23 degrees celsius and sunny, so almost time for the beach! The area here around Laguna is amazing. The beach looks great, with beautiful sand and big rocks and cliffs. Also, the nature looks great. I live near a big nature park, where you can walk in the woods and on the hills. Besides, Laguna Beach centre looks super cute and artistic!

On Sunday at 10 am (EST) I flew from LaGuardia Airport to Houston and then to Santa Ana Airport (which is really close from Laguna Beach). The flight went great and I supposed to only have 50 minutes between my two flights, but my first flight was 40 minutes early so I had enough time to change flights. Houston Airport btw is really nice and relaxed! I arrived in Santa Ana at 4 pm (PST) and my host family was already waiting for me to pick me up. After that, we right away went out for some dinner and went home to relax. 

My two new host kids (girls) are 1 and 4 years old and super super cute! Rylan the 4 year old already hugged me to death on the first day that I arrived, really nice! Quinn likes to smile to me and sometimes also already hugs me. Although, the baby is still more into mommy and daddy of course ;) I work still 45 hours per week, but the hours are pretty relaxed with 2 little small girls. It does not really feel like I am working really hard, because I have a lot of fun with the girls and the dad is still home the whole day to teach me how the days go. Also, the work pressure is less high than when I worked with 4 kids. The fun thing about where I live now is that I live in a condo. I have a lot of neighbors really close by and pretty much people here have a dog. So when I miss my two boxer dogs, I can always go outside and pat other dogs ;P I have to say I miss my previous family and the area (especially NYC!!!), but because I right away take care of 2 other sweet kids I am feeling fine. I have the idea that my host family is great and the kids are nice so I will have an amazing year here in Cali!
